What Event Platforms Really Cost Muslim Organizers (2026)
Most platforms advertise a low fee and charge the organizer somewhere else: a monthly plan, a cut of the payout, a fee to get your money early, or features held back for a paid tier. Here is what running a real event costs the organizer on each platform, and what is included.
$0 to the organizer, by default
On Ummah Unite the organizer pays nothing to sell tickets. The platform fee ($1.49 + 3.5% per paid ticket) and payment processing are shown to the attendee as their own lines at checkout, so the ticket price you set is exactly what reaches your own Stripe account, at the moment of sale. Organizers who prefer can absorb the fee instead.
There is no subscription, no plan or tier, no setup fee and no per-event fee. Free events are free with no cap on tickets or events, and one-time donations carry a 0% platform fee.
What the same event costs the organizer elsewhere
Take a 500-seat fundraising gala at $50 a ticket, $25,000 in tickets, with vendor tables and sponsors.
Ummah Unite: $0 to the organizer. Tickets, vendor booths, vendor storefronts, sponsor packages and donations are all included.
Ummah (theummah.io): $0 to the organizer for tickets on its free plan, where a 3% fee is added at checkout. Selling vendor booths from a map needs its Advanced plan, $75 a month billed annually: $900 a year.
Qariyb: 3.5% taken from the organizer's payout, $875.
Luma: 5% on paid events on its free plan, $1,250 if the organizer absorbs it, or Luma Plus at $59 a month billed annually for 0%.
Eventbrite: $0 to the organizer when its fees are passed to buyers. Getting money early through an instant payout costs 3% of the amount, up to $40 a payout.
MeetPure: $0 platform fee for registered nonprofits; other organizers are priced on request.
More included, not less
A lower price usually means fewer features. Here it is the opposite: everything below is included at $0 to the organizer.
Tickets with sections for brothers, sisters and families; QR check-in on unlimited devices with double-scan protection; vendor booths and tables sold from an interactive floor plan; a storefront for every vendor with pre-orders, pickup, delivery or shipping, paid in the same checkout as the ticket; sponsor packages with logos and meeting booking; event merchandise; one-time donations at 0%; team and volunteer roles; white-label event pages on your own domain; and one-click import of your whole Eventbrite history.
Every payment goes straight to whoever earned it: ticket and booth money to the organizer, order money to the vendor. One QR works at the door and at vendor pickup.
If you want a team to run the event as well, our marketing, website and operations team is available per engagement. For the Niya Summit it sold 327 tickets against a 175 target with $0 in ads. The platform works fully without it.
Getting paid is part of the price
A platform that is cheap but pays you after the event still costs you: the hall, the caterer and the printer want their money before the doors open.
On Ummah Unite the money goes into the organizer's own Stripe account at the moment of sale, and we never hold it. MeetPure's Terms of Use (updated 18 August 2025) pay out no earlier than three days after the event on request, up to 80% of net proceeds, with the rest within four weeks. Eventbrite charges 3% to get your money instantly.
How we checked
Every competitor figure comes from that platform's own pricing page or terms: theummah.io/pricing, luma.com/pricing, eventbrite.com/organizer/pricing, Eventbrite's Instant Payouts page and meetpure.events/tou, checked 30-31 October 2026. Qariyb's 3.5% comes from its published pricing, checked September 2026. Prices change, so check the latest page before you decide. Our own fees, with worked examples, are at /guides/ummah-unite-fees-explained.
