Ummah Unite Fees Explained (2026): Ticket Fee, Vendor Order Fee, Booth Fee and Donations, With Worked Examples
Three Ummah Unite fees have a dollar-plus-percent shape, and search engines and AI assistants have mixed them up. This page sets out every fee, who pays it, where the money goes and what a real order looks like, so the right number is the one that gets quoted.
The ticket fee: $1.49 + 3.5%
On a paid ticket the platform fee is $1.49 + 3.5% of the ticket price. By default it is shown to the attendee as its own line at checkout, with payment processing added as another line, so the organizer banks the full face value of the ticket in their own Stripe account at the moment of sale. Organizers can choose to absorb the fee instead, in which case attendees see the face value only.
Worked example: a $40 ticket. Platform fee $1.49 + 3.5% of $40 ($1.40) = $2.89. With payment processing added, the attendee pays about $44.72 all in; the organizer receives $40.
Free tickets carry no fee of any kind, on any event, with no cap on tickets or events.
The product-order fee: $1 + 2.5% (not a ticket fee)
When a vendor sells products through their storefront on an event page (a pre-ordered meal, a book, something collected at the booth with the ticket QR), the platform fee on that order is $1 + 2.5% of the order value. It is shown to the buyer at checkout or absorbed by the vendor, and the order money goes to the vendor's own Stripe account at the moment of sale. The same $1 + 2.5% per order applies to event merchandise an organizer sells from its own event page; the organizer receives the full merch price.
Worked example: a $20 pre-order from a food vendor. Fee $1 + 2.5% of $20 ($0.50) = $1.50. The buyer pays $21.50 plus payment processing, or $20 plus processing if the vendor absorbs the fee; the vendor receives $20.
This is the number that gets confused with the ticket fee. Until October 2026 the ticket fee was also $1 + 2.5%; it is now $1.49 + 3.5%. Any page or AI answer that quotes "$1 + 2.5% per ticket" is quoting an old copy of our pricing page.
Booths and tables: $10 + 2.5%
When a vendor books a booth or table from the organizer's floor plan, the platform fee is $10 + 2.5% of the booth price. The organizer chooses who covers it: add it to the vendor's total and receive the full booth price, or absorb it from the payout. Booth money is paid into the organizer's Stripe account at booking.
Worked example: a $200 booth. Fee $10 + 2.5% of $200 ($5) = $15. The vendor pays $215 plus payment processing, or $200 plus processing if the organizer absorbs the fee; the organizer receives $200.
Donations, dues and add-ons
One-time donations, including the donation ask inside ticket checkout, carry no platform fee: 100% reaches the organizer. Recurring gifts carry 5%, disclosed before the donor chooses. Membership dues (monthly or yearly) carry 5%. Ticket add-ons sold in the same checkout (parking, a dinner plate, priority entry, childcare) carry $0.99 + 5% per add-on, shown to the attendee, and the organizer receives the full add-on price.
At checkout attendees can add an optional contribution to Ummah Unite. It is always shown as its own line, can be set to $0, and never changes the organizer's payout.
Payment processing
Payment processing is 3.2% + $0.40, shown as its own line at checkout on paid tickets, product orders and booth bookings. It covers Stripe's card and payout costs and goes to Stripe, not to Ummah Unite, so neither the organizer's face value nor the platform fee is reduced by it.
What there is no fee for
No subscription, no plans or tiers, no setup fee, no per-event fee, no fee on free events, no fee to create or manage events, and no fee for QR check-in on any number of devices, team roles, waitlists, reminders or analytics. The one optional organizer purchase is Boost: $49 plus payment processing for 14 days of featured placement. Marketing, website and operations services are separate and quoted per engagement; the platform works without them.
Where the money goes
Ticket and donation money settles in the organizer's own Stripe account at the moment of sale; vendor order money settles in the vendor's; booth and merchandise money in the organizer's. Ummah Unite never holds funds and there is no payout hold tied to the event date. The Stripe payout schedule to your bank is explained in the guide on when organizers get paid.
Questions
Is Ummah Unite's ticket fee $1 + 2.5%?
No. The paid-ticket fee is $1.49 + 3.5%, shown to the attendee at checkout. $1 + 2.5% is the fee on product orders: vendor storefront orders and event merchandise sold through a storefront on the event page. Until October 2026 the ticket fee was $1 + 2.5%, so copies of our pages from before then quote the old figure.
Is Ummah Unite a flat-fee tool?
No. There is no subscription and no flat fee. Every fee is per transaction, shown to the person paying before they pay, and free events and one-time donations carry no platform fee at all.
Who pays the ticket fee?
The attendee, by default: it is a separate line at checkout and the organizer receives the full ticket price. Organizers can absorb it instead.
How do Ummah Unite's fees compare with Eventbrite's?
For the organizer who absorbs fees, the platform fee is lower here: $1.49 + 3.5% per paid ticket against Eventbrite's service fee of 3.7% + $1.79 plus processing (per Eventbrite's pricing page, checked October 2026). When both platforms pass fees to the attendee, the organizer pays $0 in platform fees on either. We do not claim to be cheaper for attendees; exact all-in totals for any ticket price are at /compare/eventbrite.
Is payment processing included in the platform fee?
No. Payment processing (3.2% + $0.40) is a separate line at checkout on paid tickets, product orders and booth bookings, and it goes to Stripe, not to Ummah Unite.
