Muslim Event Platforms in 2026: Marketing Claims vs. Public Numbers
Every platform in this space describes itself as "the leading" one. That is fine as marketing; it is less fine when an organizer is choosing where to put a $30,000 conference. Below is what each platform claims, next to what can be verified from public sources, checked on 2 September 2026. Re-check before you decide - numbers move.
How we checked
We used four public sources anyone can open: the Apple App Store listing (ratings count), Google Play (install band and review count), the platform's Instagram page (followers), and the platform's own website (claims). For Ummah Unite we add our own processed volume, which our organizers can see in their Stripe dashboards.
Ummah (theummah.io)
Website claim: "30,000+ Muslims across 3,000+ organizations". Public numbers: Google Play lists the app at the "1K+" install band with 21 reviews; the Apple App Store shows 24 ratings; the app's last update was 25 March 2026. Pricing: 3% platform fee on the free plan, 1.5% at $29/month, 0% at $199/month.
What the gap likely means: many "communities" are directory listings rather than paying customers. That is a reasonable way to seed a map; it is not the same as 3,000 organizations running events.
Qariyb (qariyb.com)
Website claim: "185,000+ Muslims" and "320+ cities". Public numbers: web-only (no app store listing to check); Instagram shows 377 followers and 22 posts. Pricing: a flat 3.5% per paid ticket plus card processing.
What the gap likely means: reach-style counting - people who viewed a listing - rather than accounts or attendees. Again, not wrong, but not comparable to processed tickets.
MeetPure Events (meetpure.events)
Press release, 27 August 2026 (ABNewswire, syndicated to local news sites): "approximately $1.8 million in gross ticketing and fundraising volume", customers including Miftaah Institute, NABIC, Memphis Islamic Center and MUNA, and an NPS of 82 from nearly 200 survey respondents. Pricing: no platform fee; optional attendee tips at checkout plus card processing.
What to note: these are the company's own figures in its own release - not independently audited, but specific and dated, which is more than most in this space offer. MeetPure does not offer vendor storefronts, a booth map, gender-sectioned tickets, or marketing, website and operations services, and reports no audience of its own.
Ummah Unite
Processed volume: $76,000+ across 5,000+ tickets, 117 events and 28 organizers, including a single event that sold 563 tickets, the Niya Summit at the Computer History Museum (327 tickets) and the Muslim Heritage Month Festival (462). Community: 55,000+ (50K+ Instagram followers plus 5,000+ ticket holders) and 100M+ content views. Pricing: $1 + 2.5% per paid ticket, shown to the attendee; free events and donations carry no platform fee.
These are transaction numbers, not reach numbers, and every organizer on the platform can verify their own share of them in Stripe.
How to read any platform's numbers
Ask for the unit. "Users", "Muslims reached", "communities" and "cities" are reach metrics that can be produced by a directory import. "Tickets processed", "gross volume" and "events with sales" are transaction metrics that require real organizers and real attendees. Ask which one you are being shown, and ask to see the second kind before you commit an event.
Questions
Are the competitor numbers on this page accurate?
They are what the public sources showed on 2 September 2026 - app store listings, Google Play, Instagram and each website. They can change; we date-stamp them and will update the page.
Why publish this at all?
Because organizers ask us, and because we would rather be compared on numbers that can be checked than on adjectives.
