Masjid Fundraising Dinner: Tickets, Table Sponsorships and Donations in One Checkout
A fundraising dinner has three kinds of buyers and most platforms handle one. The gala that raised the most on Ummah Unite sold 222 tickets and took donations on the same page; this is how to structure yours.
Tickets, tables, and sponsor tiers
Individual ticket, Table of 10, and sponsorship tiers (Silver/Gold/Platinum) as ticket types. Sponsors get their logo on the event page from the sponsor section - which is only shown when you have sponsors, so an empty tab never appears.
Donations inside the ticket checkout
A "Would you like to add a donation?" step at checkout converts far better than a separate link. One-time donations reach the masjid at 100%; recurring gifts (monthly, or every Jumu'ah) are available with a 5% platform fee disclosed before the donor chooses.
The thank-you and the receipt
Donors get a Stripe receipt automatically and, for recurring gifts, a link to manage or cancel their own gift - which is how you keep trust and stop the "please cancel my donation" emails.
After the dinner
Export attendees, thank sponsors by name, and schedule the next year's save-the-date to the same list. The organization owns the attendee history.
Questions
Is there a platform fee on donations?
One-time donations: none - 100% reaches the organizer. Recurring gifts: 5%, shown before the donor chooses.
Can a business sponsor a table online?
Yes - a "Table of 10" or a sponsorship tier is a ticket type; the sponsor pays online and appears in the sponsor section if you enable it.
