The ask, at the moment people are ready to give
Every masjid event is a fundraiser, whether or not it says so on the flyer. Ummah Unite puts the donation line inside the ticket checkout — free events included — at 0% platform fee, and sells your merchandise from the same page.
A 222-ticket fundraising gala ran on the platform with tables, seats and the donation ask in one checkout. One-time donations carry no platform fee: 100% reaches the organizer's Stripe account.
Donations
- Inside checkout. A donation line appears while the attendee is already paying — for a paid ticket or a free registration. No redirect, no separate campaign page to remember later.
- 0% platform fee on one-time gifts. 100% of the donation reaches your Stripe account. Recurring gifts carry a 5% fee that is disclosed before the donor chooses.
- Goal, purpose, suggested amounts. Set a target, say what it funds, and offer suggested amounts. The dashboard tracks the total per event.
- The gala pattern. Tables and seats sold as tickets, sponsor tiers sold as packages, and the ask in the same order — the whole evening's revenue in one place.
Merchandise
The hoodie at the summit, the book at the lecture, the tote at the festival: list it on the event page with a price, take orders at checkout or before the day, and hand it over at the event. Merchandise is the organizer's own product line; vendor storefronts are separate and pay their own vendors.
Free iftar
Free registration for headcount, a donation line at signup, 0% fee. The iftar funds itself before the first date is served.
Fundraising dinner
Tables and seats, sponsor tiers, the ask at checkout, and a goal that updates as the orders come in. The dinner guide →
Summit
Ticket tiers, sponsor packages, merchandise pre-orders collected at registration, and a donation option for the cause behind the event.
Questions
What does a donation at checkout cost?
Nothing. One-time donations made inside ticket checkout carry no platform fee; 100% reaches the organizer's Stripe account. Recurring gifts carry a 5% fee, disclosed before the donor chooses. Card processing applies as on any card payment.
Can a free event take donations?
Yes. A free registration can include a donation line, so a free iftar or halaqa can still fund itself at the moment people sign up.
Can I set a goal and suggested amounts?
Yes. Donation goal, suggested amounts and the purpose of the donation are per-event settings, and a per-event donation total is tracked in the dashboard.
How is merchandise sold?
Organizer merchandise — a hoodie, a book, a tote — is listed on the event page with a price, ordered at checkout or before the event, and collected on the day.
Why not a campaign page?
Because the moment someone is most ready to give is the moment they are already paying for a ticket to your event. A separate campaign page asks them to come back later; a line in checkout asks them now.
